Whether it's choosing the right stylist, understanding our services, or preparing for your visit, we've gathered everything you need to know before coming to see us on the 4th floor of Boulevard Saint-Laurent. FAQs

  • We do accept last-minute appointments, but we recommend calling us before you come in, just to make sure a spot is available.

  • We accept credit card, debit card, and cash payments.

  • We require a minimum of 48 hours notice for any appointment cancellations or modifications.

    Any cancellation made less than 48 hours before the appointment will incur a fee equivalent to 50% of the cost of the reserved service.

    Last-minute cancellations and no-shows will be charged 100% of the cost of the reserved service.

    This policy allows us to respect our stylists' time and better serve all our clients. We thank you for your understanding.

  • We do not offer free consultations. A consultation is recommended before any complex coloring service, as it allows your stylist to fully understand your needs and avoid any unpleasant surprises.

  • We use high-quality products that are ammonia-free, not tested on animals, and PETA certified, such as EVO, K18, and Olaplex. Our products are also cruelty-free, mostly vegan (4 products contain animal-derived ingredients like beeswax), sulfate-free, paraben-free, DEA-free, TEA-free, propylene glycol-free, and gluten-free.

  • The studio is located at 3643 Saint-Laurent Boulevard, on the 4th floor. Please note that there is no elevator.

  • We do not have reserved parking, but there is plenty of paid parking on Saint-Laurent Boulevard nearby.

  • Yes, children and pets are welcome.

  • Most of our team is comfortable with curly hair up to type 3B. For curl types 3C and 4, we recommend booking an appointment with Alexia, Emily, Bella, or MJ.

  • Please wash your hair 1 to 2 days before your appointment.

  • You can book directly online via our booking page, accessible 24/7. Simply choose your stylist, your service, and your desired time. We also accept reservations by phone.

  • We offer cuts, color services (highlights, balayage, full color, and color corrections), treatments (K18 and Olaplex), blowouts, and brushings. We also specialize in cuts for curly hair types 3B to 4C, as well as gender-affirming cuts, in an inclusive and welcoming space. For more complex services like bleaching or major color corrections, we recommend booking a consultation beforehand.

  • Each stylist has their own specialties. For curly hair (3C–4 types), we recommend Alexia, Emily, Bella, or MJ. For complex colorations or color corrections, we suggest consulting the portfolios on our team page. If you are unsure, our team can guide you during your first booking, and you can also contact us by phone.

  • We are easily accessible by metro via the orange line (Sherbrooke station) or the green line (Saint-Laurent station), as well as by several bus lines on Saint-Laurent Boulevard. The salon is located on the 4th floor; please note that there is no elevator.

  • Yes. Apart Studio has been an inclusive and safe space for gender-affirming haircuts since 2019. Our entire team is trained to welcome trans, non-binary, and queer clients without assumptions or judgment.

  • Yes. Apart Studio is a creative hair salon located in Montreal's Plateau neighborhood since 2019. Each cut and color is fully customized and performed by a team of passionate stylists.

  • Service Adjustment Policy

    If you have concerns about your color or cut service, you must contact us within 7 days of your appointment date.

    We offer corrective adjustment appointments rather than refunds. The corrective appointment must be scheduled within 2 weeks of the initial service date.

    Color Service Maintenance

    Proper maintenance is essential to preserve the results of your hair color. Following your appointment, we recommend:

    • Limiting the frequency of washes
    • Avoiding abrasive or clarifying products that may alter or fade the color prematurely

    We are not responsible for color alteration caused by improper maintenance or the use of unsuitable hair products.

  • We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our clients' personal information.

    The information we collect, such as your name, contact details, and appointment history, is used solely for the purpose of providing our services, managing your bookings, communicating with you about your appointments, and enhancing your customer experience.

    We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes. Access to this information is restricted to authorized members of our team, and it is stored securely in accordance with applicable personal data protection laws.

  • For products purchased at the studio, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to contact us regarding an exchange.

    We do not offer refunds on products sold in store. Eligible products can only be exchanged for another product of equal or greater value.
